Judge Gamble has served a magistrate judge for Sumter County and a municipal judge for the City of Sumter since July, 2019.  Prior to his judicial appointment, he was the Traffic Safety Resource Prosecutor (TSRP) for South Carolina from 2010 to 2019 and a prosecutor for the Third Judicial Circuit from 2007 to 2010. 

As the TSRP, he conducted and presented dozens of trainings to prosecutors, law enforcement and judges, including annual DUI-specific trainings to summary court judges.  Key discussion areas of most of these trainings were South Carolina’s mandatory video-recording requirements, statutory implied consent laws, and field sobriety testing.

Judge Gamble is a 2001 graduate of the University of South Carolina and a 2007 graduate of the Florida Coastal School of Law.  He was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 2007 and the U.S. District Court in 2015.
