The Communications Committee publicizes NCFTJ programs and initiatives, oversees NCFTJ website content, and maximizes the use of ABA resources for media and public relations.
Congressional Affairs

Description
The Congressional Affairs Committee monitors congressional reports and keeps abreast of what's happening that impacts federal judges and reports significant items to our membership via e-mail. This Committee alerts members of the executive committee of issues on which we might want to respond or our members may want to respond. The Committee also plans, along with the Educational Programs Committee, a conclave with our leadership and members of congress, which is held at ABA day in D.C., at annual meetings, or at other appropriate forums.

Description
The Diversity Committee implements ABA, Judicial Division, and NCFTJ diversity initiatives to promote the full and equal participation of minorities in the judiciary.
Educational Programs

Description
This Committee works to develop stand alone, cutting-edge educational programs to elevate the visibility and reputation of the Conference nationally. The Educational Programs Committee investigates opportunities to offer educational programming outside of the Midyear and Annual Meetings. The Committee develops a mission statement and action plan to achieve its goals.
Ethics and Professionalism

Description
The Ethics and Professionalism Committee examines issues of judicial ethics and responsibility.
Finance and Non-Dues Revenue*

Description
The Finance and Non-Dues Revenue Committee oversees finance and non-dues revenue issues, budget reviews, and other financially related requests.
Membership Committee

Description
The Membership Committee develops strategies to recruit new members while retaining existing members. Committee members challenge Conference members to recruit “Just One More!” in a number of creative ways. This Committee maintains relationships with ABA entities and external groups and encourages these organizations to sponsor membership initiatives and marketing campaigns. The Membership Committee works proactively to identify additional collaborative initiatives including: ad swaps in journals, joint membership programs, and partnering opportunities. The Committee reviews membership materials to ensure they adequately reflect the many benefits of Conference membership.
Nominating Committee*

Description
The Nominating Committee is comprised of five NCFTJ members. The Committee makes nominations for the offices of Vice-Chair, Secretary, Conference House of Delegate representative, and executive committee members. This Committee meets before or during the Midyear Meeting to decide on the candidates for the next association year. The Committee presents a nominating committee report during or shortly after midyear, notifying the entire membership of their selections and presents the candidates to the executive committee members at the annual meeting.
