The August 2022 Annual Meeting of the ABA, held in Chicago, presented a welcome opportunity for NCALJ members to meet “in person” once again, after two years of virtual sessions occasioned by COVID-19. Although not all Executive Committee members were able to travel to join us, some EC members met for the very first time. We acknowledged the excellent leadership of Immediate Past Chair, John Allen, whose entire term (except for our Friday morning, August 5, 2022 meeting) was conducted virtually. His term culminated with the successful passage of the very important Resolution 200. (See the remarks of NCALJ House of Delegates liaison Hon Danette Mincey.) We were pleased to be joined by newly-elected Judicial Division Chair, Hon. Ernestine Gray (Louisiana), who administered the oath of office to the 2022-2023 EC.

Plan now to join us, in person, at the 2023 Midyear Meeting in New Orleans (February 2-6, 2023). NCALJ will have a business meeting during Midyear and will participate in the Judicial Division's outreach opportuntities.
