Judicial Division to host virtual mini-JCP for Howard University School of Law

On Friday, October 30 from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Eastern), the Judicial Division will present a virtual mini Judicial Clerkship Program for Howard University School of Law.  The event begins with welcome remarks from Dean Danielle Holly-Walker and JD Chair Judge J. Michelle Childs, followed by opening remarks by past ABA President Paulette Brown and Judge Joe Webster.  Students will then participate in the judicial panel which features judges of all different levels who will talk about the importance of and how to seek judicial clerkships.  The research panel will focus on a case before the United States Supreme Court and judges will instruct the students to find and read each conflicting opinion of the lower courts.  The program will end with end with breakouts to provide the students an opportunity to meet with judges for Q & A.
