About the Award
The Robert B. Yegge Award for Outstanding Contribution in the Field of Judicial Administration honors Dean Emeritus Robert B. Yegge of the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, who was an outstanding member and leader of the Judicial Division Lawyers Conference for many years. Dean Yegge not only distinguished himself through a number of individual achievements in the area of judicial administration, he distinguished himself through a lifetime of achievement. He was prolific in his activity in the legal, scholarly, and civic arenas. He also was a mentor to many in the field of judicial administration.
Criteria for Selection
The Award is given each year to a current or former member of the American Bar Association who best emulates Dean Yegge's many outstanding contributions to the field of judicial administration, either:
- through a single outstanding achievement;
- through a lifetime of achievement in this area through legal, scholarly, or civic avenues; or
- through exceptional service to the Lawyers Conference of the Judicial Division.
Nomination Guidelines
The nomination period is now open through April 18, 2025. The Award will be presented during the ABA Annual Meeting at the Judicial Division Welcome Reception on August 7, 2025, in Toronto, Ontario. We encourage you to submit nominations for individuals or organizations that have made outstanding contributions to judicial administration.
