A series of prestigious awards honoring judges, attorneys, and other leaders who are dedicated to preserving the rule of law.
Justice and Rule of Law Award
The Justice and Rule of Law Award was established to recognize those dedicated to the improvement of the administration of justice and preserving the rule of law. The Award may be presented to any individual or organization that has made a positive national impact on the justice system and preserving the rule of law.
Honorable William D. Missouri Civility Award
The Civility Award is presented to a person who exhibits exceptional qualities of civility, courtesy, and professionalism in their legal or judicial careers towards not only colleagues and litigants but the public at large. The award may also be presented to a person or organization that promotes civility and professionalism in the legal profession.
Franklin N. Flaschner Award
The Flaschner Award recognizes a judge in a court of limited jurisdiction who has an excellent reputation, a commitment to high ideals, exemplary character, leadership, and competence in performing judicial duties. It is presented by the National Conference of Specialized Court Judges.
Burnham "Hod" Greeley Award
The Greeley Award is given to a person or organization who has made a significant positive impact on public understanding of the role of the judiciary in a democratic society and its importance to the rule of law. It is presented by the Lawyers Conference.
Judicial Education Award
The Award is given to a person or institution of judicial education/training for successful efforts in providing high-quality judicial education and training for judges. It is presented by the National Conference of Specialized Court Judges.
William R. McMahon Award
The McMahon Award honors a judge, court employee, or attorney who has made a significant implementation or development in the use of technological advances in a court of limited or special jurisdiction. It is presented by the National Conference of Specialized Court Judges.
Robert B. Yegge Award for Outstanding Contribution in the Field of Judicial Administration
The Yegge Award recognizes current and former ABA members who have made an outstanding contribution to the field of judicial administration. It is presented by the Lawyers Conference.
