Priori is an online platform known for using data and technology to connect in-house legal teams with lawyers and law firms who can assist with a wide variety of projects. But Basha Rubin, CEO and co-founder at Priori, says the company noticed that clients were sometimes turning to its online marketplace for help with problems that “might be best solved by a ‘new law’ company or a nontraditional legal provider.”
In response, Priori announced in late July that it was adding legal tech companies and alternative legal services providers to its platform as additional options for clients.
The first three companies to join the online marketplace were Factor, LawGeex and QuisLex, and Rubin says Priori is already preparing to bring on board more alternative providers in the near future.
“By adding them to the platform, we are creating a much more connected ecosystem so that in-house teams can find the right solution in one place,” says Rubin, who was also a 2018 ABA Journal Legal Rebel.
In this new episode of the Legal Rebels Podcast, Rubin also discusses what prompted her to create Priori with her law school classmate Mirra Levitt, the company’s approach to vetting legal providers, and how adding new providers to its platform has gone so far.
