In recognition of the Day of the Endangered Lawyer, this teleconference reports on attacks on the judiciary, Bar and other human rights defenders in Pakistan, and offer suggestions on how the ABA and other organizations can lend support.
The panel for this teleconference included Jalila Haider, Founder of We the Humans; Farahnaz Ispahani, Senior Fellow at the Religious Freedom Institute; Hussain Haqqani, a former Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States; and Raza Rumi, Former Director of the Park Center for Independent Media, Ithaca College. Sara Sandford, Past Chair of the International Human Rights Committee, served as moderator.
