We are the only country in the world that has taken people from so many different backgrounds, which is a great achievement by itself, but an even greater achievement is that we have turned all of that variety and diversity into unity.
Inherent in the community of lawyers that defines the ABA Section of Intellectual Property Law (ABA-IPL) is our Section’s dedication to serving—and to being comprised of—the widest range of individuals. It is in variety where we have the ability to best represent our many constituencies. The increasingly global community and economy and its continually evolving demographics demand that we embrace and develop an inclusive diverse culture as a vital path to effectiveness.
ABA-IPL is committed to a proactive approach to this vision and to the value of diversity: to maximize opportunities, eliminate barriers, foster cultural competence, and champion differentiation.
