Committee Scope: Trial and Appellate Rules and Procedures Committee

Practice in the federal and state courts, both trial and appellate, in cases involving intellectual property law matters; monitoring, including providing:

(1)  reports and recommendations on procedural matters, including improvements in the litigation process in the trial and appellate courts;

(2)  recommendations where appropriate and in cooperation with other ABA entities with respect to legislation regarding trial and appellate court practice and procedure in intellectual property law; and

(3)  screening and recommendations to the ABA Standing Committee on the Federal Judiciary respecting the qualifications for appointments to the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
