Scope
The Privacy and Publicity Rights Committee monitors and educates about developments in domestic and global privacy and publicity rights law. It focuses on various subject matters related to privacy and publicity rights, including (a) rights in information regarding individuals, such as what are generally considered personal information privacy [such as the GDPR and CCPA] and rights to “bulk” or “big” data; and (b) rights of publicity, such as the privacy tort of misappropriation and the property right protecting individuals’ personality.
