The Government IP Rights Committee provides a locus for members of the Section to share views and conduct dialogue on government IP related issues; to obtain practice-specific information; to participate in mutually advantageous activities including responding to requests for comments by the Department of Defense and other government entities on proposed changes to the intellectual property and technical data rights sections of the DFARs and providing comments to the House and Senate Armed Services Committees on provisions in the proposed National Defense Authorization Act and other statutes that would impact the intellectual property and technical data rights of contractors ; and to leverage Section benefits and opportunities aimed to better both the practitioners and the practice in this IP arena.
