Chair’s Column

By Christian F. Binnig

I’d like to begin my first Chair’s Column by thanking my immediate predecessor, Mark Darrell. As our society and our profession continue to transform themselves in the Digital Age, Mark’s steady leadership of our Section over the past year has, in my view, only strengthened the ability of our Section to fulfill the ABA’s mission to “serve equally our members, our profession, and the public by defending liberty and delivering justice as the national representative of the legal profession.” Many of the Section’s initiatives that I hope to build on during my tenure as Section Chair were developed under Mark’s watch. These initiatives include our recent establishment of a Section feed on Twitter, where we plan to post timely links to judicial and regulatory developments of interest and importance to the members of this Section. If you are not already following the Section’s Twitter feed, I encourage you to do so. Our Twitter “handle” is @AmericanBarIRIS.
