Zaid Khatib is a Program Officer with the ABA Justice Defenders Program, supporting the Middle East & North Africa, Asia, and Eurasia divisions. Prior to joining the ABA, he worked at Frontline Solutions, where he assisted in the development and strengthening of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategies in the philanthropic and nonprofit sectors. He has also worked with the Legal Resources Centre in South Africa.
Mr. Khatib holds a B.A. in Global Studies and Philosophy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is pursuing a master’s degree in Human Rights Law at the University of Cape Town. His dissertation focuses on the consequences of provisional limited indigenous autonomy with respect to international human rights obligations in Palestine and apartheid South Africa.
