Big (Bad?) Data and the Healthcare Consumer

Join host Stephanie Dorvil, Tiffany Shih (Cornerstone Research) and Elisa Long (UCLA) as they preview what the Big (Bad?) Data and the Healthcare Consumer session at this year’s Emerging Issues in Healthcare Law Conference will cover. The episode discusses predictions about how collection and analysis of health data could improve quality, lower costs and facilitate value-based care on the one hand, but that the data can also pose legal challenges in the areas of privacy, antitrust, and perpetuate algorithmic bias and result in adverse outcomes.
