Study Finds Marked Increase in Women Lawyers on Deal Teams

In the last ten years, women lawyers’ participation in deal teams has increased by 50%, from 42% to 78%. This increase was reported in a study focusing uniquely on teams of lawyers published in a University of Virginia School of Law (UVA)  journal by law professors from Vanderbilt Law School, UVA, and University of Toronto School of Law, as reported by Reuters. Still lagging is the percentage of women leading deal teams, which is currently 19%.
