The ABA’s Commission on Women in the Profession reported in the April issue of Perspectives on consequences the Dobbs decision is having on employers, companies, and women lawyers, including on law students and women who might consider becoming a lawyer because of the decision. Firms have reacted to Dobbs with client education, new health benefits for women lawyers, and pro bono initiatives; women lawyers have initiated their own efforts as well, such as to boost access to abortion. Equally importantly, Dobbs impacts how women in the profession think about the Supreme Court, the role of precedent, and, in short, justice itself.
