New Hampshire is expected to receive almost $57 million in a recent settlement with CVS and Walgreens for their contribution to the opioid epidemic. This totals almost more than $10 billion from just CVS and Walgreens, alone, in the amount of money they are set to pay states for their involvement in this crisis. Walmart and CVS are expected to begin making payments later in 2023. In addition to funds from Walmart and CVS, New Hampshire has just joined other states in the settlement with Teva Pharmaceuticals and Allergan which is set to provide NH with another $33.3 million.
