Washington Post Reports No Black Lawyer Has Argued Before the Supreme Court for the U.S. for Over 10 Years

The ABA Journal covered an investigative piece by the Washington Post uncovering that a Black lawyer has not argued on behalf of the United States Solicitor General’s office at the Supreme Court since 2012,nor has a Hispanic lawyer done so since 2016.  The state of affairs is due in large part to the Office of the Solicitor General’s tendency to hire Supreme Court clerks, who are mostly white, and to hire mostly Harvard and Yale graduates.
