In late July 2023, U.S. Senators Jacky Rosen (D-NV) and John Boozman (R-AR) proposed the creation of a National Advisory Commission on Long-Term Care through the bipartisan Supporting Our Seniors Act. The Commission on Long-Term Care would regularly report to Congress on issues such as financing, services, and workforce challenges. The Commission would be made up of 12 members appointed by the president, the Speaker and Minority Leader of the House, and the Senate Majority and Minority leaders.
