Stabbing of Nurse at California Hospital Raises Security Issues

On September 19, a 49-year-old male nurse was stabbed outside Mission Community Hospital in Panorama City, California as he was coming to work at the hospital.  The suspect fled, and the nurse was taken to a local trauma center for treatment.  Security has been increased at the hospital, but this is a difficult time for health care providers as incidents of attacks against nurses and other health care providers have increased across the country.
