CMS has notified Georgia that the agency intends to suspend implementation of a portion of the state’s innovation waiver under Section 1332 pending a written response from the state either challenging the decision or providing a corrective action plan that brings the state’s waiver into compliance with federal requirements. Georgia failed to respond to three previous letters from CMS requesting additional information from the state pertaining to the Georgia Access Model, Part II. The letters sought information on Georgia’s response to changes in federal law and policy, as well as updated analysis on the number of individuals enrolled in the waiver program.
