New initiative to help prevent Veteran Suicide

The VA has asked the nation to participate in Mission Daybreak to help prevent veteran suicide. Mission Daybreak is part of the VA’s strategy for reducing veteran suicide through a “comprehensive, public health approach.”  This initiative will help combat the staggering rate of up to 6,000 Veteran suicide deaths per year.  Phase one of the initiative asks problem solvers to submit concepts for reducing veteran suicide to missiondaybreak.net by July 8, 2022. Concept strategies should focus on one of the many areas detailed on the Mission Daybreak website. Thirty finalists will receive a monetary award and advance to phase two, where they will receive resources to streamline their concepts.
