The American Nurses Association Issues Statement on Gun Violence After Uvalde Shooting

The American Nurses Association (ANA) responded to the Uvalde, Texas mass shooting by issuing a statement reiterating its position that the U.S. must take meaningful action now to address the epidemic of gun violence. The statement notes that, in addition to the tragic loss of the victims, “nurses witness the immediate carnage and devastation from mass shootings and gun violence,” and that many nurses never recover from the trauma.
