Proposed Bipartisan Bill Would Delay Home Health Medicare Payment Cut

On July 25, Senators Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) and Susan Collins (R-ME) introduced The Preserving Access to Home Health Act of 2022 (S. 4605). On June 17, tCMS issued the proposed Medicare rates for Home Health Agencies, which includes a 7.69% permanent payment cut totaling a $1.33 billion decrease in 2023 alone. The Preserving Access to Home Health Act of 2022 would prevent CMS from implementing these payment cuts until 2026.
