GI Alliance (GIA) and United Surgical Partners International (USPI) have created a new joint venture holding a majority interest in two Texas-based endoscopy centers. The centers, located in San Antonio and Lubbock, are co-owned by GIA’s physician partners and collectively serve nearly 60 physicians through 24 clinics in the San Antonio and West Texas communities.
GIA is the nation’s largest independent gastroenterology services organization and supports over 600 independent gastroenterologists throughout Texas, Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Utah, and Washington. USPI is a subsidiary of Tenet Healthcare Corporation and operates the largest ambulatory platform in the country supporting over 400 facilities.
