House Approves Short-Term Spending Plan, Healthcare Groups Advocate for Telehealth Extension in Final Bill

This week, the House passed a short-term spending bill to extend government funding through March 11. Meanwhile, healthcare provider organizations are advocating for relief in the final spending bill. Among many others, the asks include telehealth coverage. A coalition of over 300 organizations recently sent a letter to Congress urging a telehealth waiver extension through the end of 2024. The Medical Group Management Association has requested that such an extension be included in the final funding legislation.
