An unsecured online database belonging to GetHealth exposed over 61 million wearable and fitness tracking records. GetHealth is a technology company that pulls data from hundreds of wearables, medical devices, and apps including Fitbit, Misfit Wearables, Microsoft Band, Strava, and Google Fit. Such data include names, dates of birth, weight, height, gender, and GPS logs. On June 30, WebsitePlanet and a cybersecurity researcher discovered that the GetHealth database was not password protected and promptly notified GetHealth of the vulnerability.
