Phase 4 of the Provider Relief Fund to Benefit Post-Acute Care Providers

HRSA announced that, beginning September 29, health care providers can apply for relief funds from an additional $25.5 billion in funding to help providers with losses due to COVID-19.  Health care providers include nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities, and assisted living facilities. Phase 4 of the Provider Relief Fund consists of $17 billion to help with providers’ lost revenues and changes in operating expenses from July 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021. Providers who serve Medicaid, CHIP, and Medicare patients in rural communities are eligible for the $8.5 billion in funding allocated for ARP rural payments. Providers will apply for both Phase 4 and ARP rural payments in one application.
