Pennsylvania Pharmacy and Owner Agree to Pay $1M to Resolve Alleged Violations of the False Claims Act

LAN Apothecary, Inc., a Philadelphia pharmacy, and its owner Bachtu M. Phan, have agreed to jointly pay the federal government $1,000,000 for alleged violations of the False Claims Act by billing Medicare for prescription medications that were not actually dispensed from January 2014 to June 2019. Ms. Phan and the pharmacy have additionally agreed to enter into a corporate integrity agreement.
