Conflict Resolution Day

October 21 is Conflict Resolution Day, which falls in Conflict Resolution Week, always the third week of October.  North Carolina is one state that  recognizes and celebrates Conflict Resolution Day. .  As North Carolina Chief Justice Paul Newby stated in a recent podcast,  "Our state constitution guarantees the courts shall be open and justice is to be administered without favor, denial, or delay. Our alternative resolution groups allow us to make these constitutional promises a reality.  North Carolina has demonstrated a strong commitment to developing programs which promote dispute resolution in our courts."
