Part II of the Interim Final Rule Implementing the No Surprises Act released

On September 30, the Departments of Health and Human Services, Labor, and Treasury released Part II of the interim final rule implementing the independent dispute resolution provisions of the No Surprises Act (“NSA”), with publication in the Federal Register and effective date on October 7. The rule generally applies to plans or policy years beginning on or after January 1, 2022. Comments are due by December 6.The Labor Department’s Employee Benefit Security Administration has assembled all of the government pronouncements on the NSA.
