AMA Launches Telehealth Immersion Program

The American Medical Association has launched a Telehealth Immersion Program to promote the sustainability of telehealth. Between 60% and 90% of physicians provided some form of virtual care during the pandemic, with more than half of those physicians using telehealth for the first time. The challenge for many practices moving forward will be to find the appropriate balance between telehealth and in-patient care.

The Telehealth Immersion Program is designed to provide foundation information surrounding the telehealth landscape and offers deep dives into aspects of telehealth including clinical best practices, integration with other health care technologies, the impact of telehealth related to elements of the quadruple aim, how to successfully scale and sustain telehealth in practice, and virtual care expansion opportunities.
