Opioid Settlements: Four Companies Close in on $26 Billion Deal

McKesson, Cardinal Health, AmerisourceBergen and Johnson & Johnson are closing in on a $26 billion deal with state and local governments, putting an end to thousands of lawsuits over their role in the pandemic. This is $4 billion more than what was offered just a year ago. If agreed to, the four companies would no longer be at risk of future litigation by these governments.
