Recently unsealed filings reveal alleged False Claims Act violations against Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, a Tennessee non-profit healthcare system. The relators, former Methodist executives, allege that between 2012 and 2018, Methodist paid over $400 million in kickbacks were allegedly paid in exchange for referrals from oncologists and other medical specialists at The West Clinic, a Memphis-based, for-profit private physician group. The government has declined to intervene in the lawsuit.
