The American Bar Association Health Law Section’s Cancer Legal Advocacy Interest Group is pleased to present the Inaugural Cancer Legal Advocacy Virtual 5K Fun / Run Walk! The event will be held November 21-29, 2020 and is open to the public.
In the COVID era of social distancing, you can still enjoy the company of your friends and family while supporting cancer legal advocacy for those with cancer by participating in the Inaugural Cancer Legal Advocacy Virtual 5K! Runners and walkers of all sizes and shapes are invited to come together to support families facing cancer and raise awareness about the legal ramifications associated with this life-threatening illness.
How it Works: Donate $25 to the ABA’s Cancer Legal Advocacy Interest Group. Then between November 21 and November 29, run or walk the 5K distance and record your achievement. You can do the full 5K (aprox 3.1 miles) at once or split it up over the event dates. Share your experiences and picture(s) throughout the week by posting them on your personal social media pages using the hashtag #ABACANCER5K. Visit ambar.org/HLcancer to register and get all the details.
Your $25 donation to participate will help the ABA Health Law Section Cancer Legal Advocacy Interest Group* fund educational programs designed to help people with cancer, lawyers, social workers, medical professionals, and others affected by this illness find the resources needed to address the complex legal issues associated with this debilitating disease.
