Medicare reductions in 2021 are a major concern for already plunging revenues in physician practices due to the COVID-19 pandemic. AMA is advocating that HHS provide relief to medical specialties that have been hit hard in an effort to preserve access to care for patients. In calling for additional relief and postponement of proposed Medicare reductions, the AMA is indicating they believe supporting these medical specialties is critical to the success of our healthcare system in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.
