Cordant Health Solutions Pays Nearly $12 Million to Settle Allegations of Kickbacks for Urine Testing Referrals

The DOJ and Cordant Health Solutions (Cordant) settled a civil suit on July 20 pertaining to Cordant allegedly paying kickbacks to Northwest Physicians Laboratories, LLC and Genesis Marketing Group in exchange for referrals of urine drug tests paid for by federal healthcare programs.  Cordant has agreed to pay various government healthcare programs $11,942,913 to settle the allegations.  Twenty percent of the settlement will go to the party who first filed a qui tam case regarding the conduct in 2015.
