New Congressional Bill Would Study Telehealth Impact During COVID-19

On June 1, Representative Robin Kelly (D- Il), introduced the Evaluating Disparities and Outcomes of Telehealth During the COVID-19 Emergency Act of 2020, which would mandate a telehealth study by HHS. The study, which has some bipartisan support according to Rep. Kelly, would be submitted to the House Energy and Commerce Committee and Ways and Means Committee, and the Senate Finance Committee. Among other details, the report would include the number of telehealth visits, the types of services patients received, and what kinds of clinics offered those services during the pandemic.
