VA Extends Financial, Benefits, and Claims Relief to Veterans

On April 3, the VA introduced a number of measures to relieve stress on veterans during the COVID-19 pandemic. The VA is suspending collection of debts, and is allowing paperwork to be submitted late in benefits cases. Veterans do not have to request an extension before deadlines, and can simply submit extension paperwork at the time of their submission. Veterans who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 can also have their appeals advanced on the Board of Veterans Appeal docket to get more immediate relief.
