The ABA Health Law Section’s Public Health and Policy Interest Group is pleased to announce, "Healthcare and Public Health Legal Preparedness: 2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV)” a complimentary two-part webinar series hosted by CDC’s Public Health Law Program and Center for Preparedness and Response. This two-part series will be held on February 18th (1pm-2:30pm EDT) and February 25th (12noon-1:30pm EDT).
The webinar series is being held in collaboration with The American Bar Association Health Law Section (ABA HLS), The National Governor’s Association (NGA), Association of Healthcare Emergency Preparedness Professionals (AHEPP) and American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA).
Hosted by the ABA HLS, the first webinar, “2019 Novel Coronavirus: Public Health Legal Preparedness” is being held February 18th (1pm-2:30pm EDT). The program will provide an overview of the global and US situation as well as public health planning considerations, including disease surveillance, reporting and nonpharmaceutical interventions.

Hosted by AHLA, the second webinar, “2019 Novel Coronavirus: Healthcare Provider Legal Preparedness” is being held February 25th 2020 (12noon-1:30pm EDT). The program will cover healthcare preparedness considerations and focus on the legal issues for the healthcare sector, including patient screening and testing, personal protective equipment (PPE), and more.
