CARE Act

Advocates supporting the Comprehensive Addiction Resources Emergency (CARE) Act (S. 2700), sponsored by Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Representative Elijah Cummings (D-MD), rallied on Capitol Hill last week.  The bill would allocate $100 billion over the next decade to fund biomedical research, improved training for medical professionals involved in addiction medicine, front-line substance use disorder community organizations, and states and counties severely impacted by the addiction crisis.
