Kenneth Johnson of Lorton Virginia was sentenced following a guilty plea to prison for 19 months, along with an obligation to pay restitution and supervised release, for his part in a fraudulent scheme that netted more than $525,000. Johnson, a sales representative for clinical laboratories, convinced hundreds of low-income senior citizens to submit to genetic testing without proper involvement of any healthcare professionals and then engaged in a series of deceptive and fraudulent activities to have the tests performed at the labs he represented. The labs, in turn, were ultimately paid for the tests.
