This is Episode 1 of a two-part series on Advance Directives where host Stephanie Dorvil talks to Nathan Kottkamp of Williams Mullen in Richmond, VA, who is a member of the ABA Post-Acute Care Continuum Task Force about what everyone (not just Boomers and their families) needs to know about advance directives. In honor of National Healthcare Decisions Day (NHDD) on April 16, this is an important topic. Of note, NHDD was founded in 2008 by Nathan Kottkamp, to provide clear, concise, and consistent information on healthcare decision-making to both the public and providers/facilities through the widespread availability and dissemination of simple, free, and uniform tools (not just forms) to guide the process.
