On May 12, 2025, AdventHealth announced plans to roll out a new virtual program for hypertension care. The program will combine remote monitoring technology and telehealth virtual visits to actively manage high blood pressure of patients across 370 of AdventHealth sites, including emergency departments, urgent care centers, and primary care practices. AdventHealth states that the program is one of the largest-scale programs of its kind.

Traditionally, treating a patient with hypertension typically requires monthly in-person visits. AdventHealth’s program, instead, will use a blood pressure monitoring device that uploads daily readings directly into the patient’s electronic medical record . Out-of-range results alert the patient’s care team, prompting a video visit to be scheduled.
