According to recent reports, leaders in the telehealth community remain confident that Congress will approve legislation that will allow health systems and providers to continue offering virtual care and hospital-at-home programs. Action by lawmakers, however, may not be undertaken until late in 2024. Even so, Kyle Zebley, Senior VP of public policy for the American Telemedicine Association, told Chief Healthcare Executive that he is optimistic about the chances for lawmakers to approve extending the use of telehealth to provide patient care.
