The ABA Health Law Section awards five scholarships annually for law students to participate in the Section's Annual Emerging Issues in Healthcare Law Conference.

Scholarship Application

We are now accepting applications for the 2025 scholarship. The application can be found here. The deadline to apply is January 27, 2025. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Alyssa Ewing. 

Rules and Guidelines

• Applicants must be members of the ABA and Health Law Section and attend an ABA accredited law school.
• The partial scholarships are intended for those who would not otherwise be able to attend the Emerging Issues Conference, and those who have not previously received financial assistance from the Section to attend the Conference.
• The scholarship includes up to $500 for airfare, $150 per diem for up to three days to offset cost of hotel and meals, and conference registration fee.
• There will be up to five scholarships awarded each year.
