I keep thinking of Al Pacino in Dog Day Afternoon, the 1975 movie where the days were long and the summer was hot. I don’t think we have ever had a summer quite like 2020. It is a new experience for America and the world. We are all doing our best to act like everything is normal, but we all know it is anything but. . . . While lawyers typically have high incidences of stress and anxiety in their jobs, our current conditions can produce even higher levels of out-of-balance behavior. With the tensions mounting daily, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on an interview from the book Defining Moments: Insights Into the Lawyers Soul with former GPSolo Chair John Clark, whose LEAD Line is Think Anew. Let’s focus on how thinking anew right now will serve us and keep us on the path of living our best lives and being leaders among our peers during a tough time in history.
