TAPAs: A "Closing the Office for the Holidays" Checklist

‘Twas the week before the Holiday Season
And employees were asking to close for some reason.

But wait, there are piles for filing and bills to be sent;
Before anyone goes shopping, we must pay the rent!

Employees cried out, “But it’s that time of year
When the children are home and loved ones are near.”

Not wanting to be seen as the Holiday Scrooge,
The Boss cheered, “We’re closed for the Holidays, it’s gonna be Huge!”

 

‘Tis the start of the holiday season and you will soon find offices everywhere closing intermittently, whether it be for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or the days before or after. If you are among the many places planning to close down for a few days, here are a few things to consider before you shut off the lights:
