If you work in the banking or legal world, you’ve probably heard of Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a virtual currency and exists only online on the Internet as a collection of digital keys and codes (random sets of numbers). It takes no physical form but can be used to pay for goods and services online like traditional money.1
